Molly is a local Tempe Emerging Artist, showcasing her hand-tied & dyed natural fiber art. Groovë Babe was inspired in 2015 by her 3 young children. Every piece you see is hand-tied and dyed created free-handed with fabric, waxed string. No computers, stencils, sewing, or other manufactured tie dye is ever used in the process.
During the fall of 2017 Groovë Babe Tie Dye Art became a grant recipient with the Women’s Enterprise Foundation (WEF); & was also invited to participate in both the Fall and Spring Tempe Festival of the Arts Events which draws roughly 250,000 visitors semi-annually.
Groove Babe Tie Dye is a vendor at the Sunday 6th Street Market off Mill Avenue in Tempe. The 6th Street Market is a weekly event highlighting an incredible array of talent & growing entrepreneurial spirit in the Phoenix area.
Each design is 100% unique & requires a multi-day process of tying, dyeing, washout, then revealing the masterpiece.
Molly grew up in Arizona, so naturally her designs are often inspired by the gorgeous southwest sunset landscapes, floral mandala fractals, & vibrant colors in nature.
